Seuraavana on lento Iloilosta Cebun lentokentälle. Koska lento on vasta illalla, sain järjestettyä hotellin johtajan kanssa huoneemme pitämisen myöhään iltapäivään 25 € korvausta vastaan. Kello 14.00 asti olisimme saaneet olla korvauksetta, mutta en halunnut olla tuntitolkulla pienellä Iloilon lentokentällä. 

Täällä Iloilossa olisi voinut olla vielä pitempääkin, mutta sää on ollut pilvinen ja tässä hotellissa ei ole uima-allasta, niin on ihana päästä tuttuun Best Westernin Cebu lex hotelliin.   Palvelutasoltaan luokittelin sen kaikkein parhaaksi hotelliksi missä olen koskaan ollut. Aivan loistavaa palvelua sai tässä hotellissa. Näin se oli vielä vuosi sitten, harmikseni minun täytyy sanoa että ainakaan aamiaisella palvelu ei vakuuttanut. Viime heinäkuusta palvelun taso on LASKENUT, olen kehunut aikaisemmin tämän hotellin erinomaista palvelua jopa muillekin hotelleille. Enää en voi sitä tehdä. No vielä on heillä aikaa, koska viivymme viikon. Ehkäpä huomenna palvelu on parempaa ja saisimme vaikka kahvin pöytään, kuten viime heinäkuussa sain. Jos mennään kokonaan itsepalveluun, ollaan menossa väärään suuntaan. Lomalla asiakas kaipaa palvelua. 

Iloilon keskustasta on noin 20 -30 minuutin taksimatka lentokentälle. Sieltä taksi maksaa 500 pesoa eli noin 8.50€ ja täältä Seda Atria hotellita olen hintatason tietävänä saanut hinnaksi 400 pesoa, joka on noin 6.70 €. Peson arvo on laskenut noin 10 - 20 % euroon nähden vuoden parin sisällä, niin siksi täällä on entistä edullisempaa viettää kuukaudenkin.  Lentokentällä oli luovuttu kummallisen 200 peson per henkilö maksusta. Olen aina ihmetellyt miksi sitä perittiin Iloilon lentojentällä kun muilla lentokentillä sitä ei ole peritty. No onneksi ovat nyt luopuneet siitä. 

Cebun kaupunki ei ole  kaukana Iloilon kaupungista. Lentomatka kestää noin 40 minuuttia. Cebun lentokenttä on erillisillä viereisellä saarella ja taksimatka kestää keskustaan vajaan tunnin. Ruuhka-aikana voi mennä vajaa 2 tuntiakin. 

Lentomatka kesti vain puoli tuntia. Jotain käsittämätöntä tapahtui lennolla. Lentoemännät jakoivat vettä ja suklaakakkua. Olin todella hämmästynyt ja ihmeissäni siitä että koneen vasemmalle puolelle (kone pieni käytävän molemmin puolin cain kaksi istuinta vierekkäin) jaettiin vettä, mutta oikealle puolelle jaettiin sekä vesi että nämä kakkupalata. Minua todella jäi vaivaamaan tämä ja jäinkoneeseen viimeksi ja kysyin asiasta. Toinen Philippines Airlinesin  toiminnassa minua ihmetyttänyt seikka oli että kun olimme menossa boardingkiinniin oli alkanut sataa kaatamalla. Meille annettiin vaan sateenvarjot ja saimme hyppiä vesilammikoissa kastellen kenkämme kun lentokone oli kaukana kentällä. Iloilo center is about 20 -30 minutes taxi ride to the airport. Paikan nimi tosiaankin on Iloilo ja kävin täällä ensimmäisen kerran vuonna 2015. Paikka on tullut tutuksi joka vuosi sen jälkeen, se on ollut yksi kiintopisteistäni. Pidän siitä, että tämä paikka ei ole mikään varsinainen turistikaupunki vaan täällä vierailee satunnaisia ulkomaalaisia. Nytkin lähinnä Kiinasta ja useimmat ovat täällä liikeasioissa. Ensimmäinen yöpymispaikkamme oli Skinetics wellness centre ja hotellin paras presidental suite. Tämä siksi kun Iloilossa oli jokin 2 päivän konferenssi ja kaikki hotellit olivat täynnä. Tämä paras huone oli varatessani jäljellä ja siksi varasin sen pariksi yöksi. Täytyy sanoa, että se oli hulppea ja tilava huone. Kylpyhuonekin oli tosi tilava erillisine suihkuineen, ammeineen ja wcineen. 

Varsinaisia hiekkarantoja ei kaupungista löydy mutta muka vierailukohteita sitäkin enemmän. Parhaimmat sijaitsevat noin 15 - 20 km päässä. 

Iloilossa on pari hienoa kirkkoa, joissa olen molemmissa vieraillut. Tällä kertaa kävin Molo churchissa, joka on kaupungin ydinkeskustassa. 

Myös Molo mansion on ihan kiinnostava paikka vierailla ja siellä myydään kaikkea filippiineillä valmistettuja elintarvikkeita, koruja, vaatteita, koriste-esineitä ym. 

SM ostoskeskus on paikan suurin ostoskeskus. Sitä laajennettiin viime vuonna ja nyt se on todella suuri 7 kerroksinen kompleksi. Dieltä löytyy vaikka mitä. Hyviä ruokapaikkoja kuten meksikolaista ruokaa tarjoava moons cafe. Se on ravintola vaikka nimen perusteella luulisi päätyvän kahvilaan.  Toinen suosikkini on Gerry’s grill. 

Huvielämä ja myös jotkut hyvöt ravintolat keskittyvät Smalvillen huvielämäkeskukseen. Se on kävelymatkan päässä nykyisestä suosikkihotellista SEDA ATRIA. Tähän hotelliin ihastuin jo vuonna 2015 ja nyt taitaa olla jo ainakin viides kerta tässä hotellissa. Hotelli on alle 5 vuotta vanha ja siksi se on vielä hyvässä kunnossa ja huoneet ovat siistit. Kaikki on pelannut yleensä hyvin, mutta tällä kerralla housekeepin taitaa olla joku aivan uusi ja kokematon. Niin paljon unohduksia ja puutteita on päivien aikana sattunut. Alunperinkin kylpytakit, tossut, pyyhkeet oli vain yhdelle asukkaalle, sitten puuttui muitakin asioita. Mm. WC-paperia ei ole kuulut pyynnöstä huolimatta. Palvelun laatu ei vain vieläkään ole tasaista. Asiakkaalle muodostuu käsitys hotellista näistä pienistä asioista. 

Yksi suosikkipaikoistani täällä Iloilossa on Esplanade joen varrella. Se on mukava viherkeidas ja siellä viihtyy paljon kuntoilijoita. Se onkin ihanteellinen paikka ulkoilla.

You can find nice hotels, nice eateries, sights and attractions here.

Our first overnight stay was the Skinetics wellness center and the hotel's best Presidental suite. This is because when Iloilo had a 2 day conference and all hotels were full. This was the best room I was left reserved and that's why I reserved it for a couple of nights. I have to say it was a weird and spacious room. The bathroom was really spacious with separate showers, tubs and toilet.

The actual sandy beaches can not be found in the city, but the attractions are all the more. The best are located about 15 - 20 km away.

Iloilo has a couple of nice church in which I have visited both. This time I went to Molo Church, which is in the heart of the city.

Molo Mansion is also a very interesting place to visit and sell all the food, jewelry, clothing, ornaments and other items made in the Philippines.

The SM shopping center is the largest shopping center in the area. It was expanded last year and now it is a really large 7-storey complex. Whatever. Good dining places like Mexican food offering Moons cafe. It is a restaurant though on the name you think you would end up in a cafe. My other favorite is Gerry's Grill.

Entertainment and also some good restaurants focus on the Smalvilla Amusement Center. It is within walking distance of the current favorite hotel SEDA ATRIA. I've been to this hotel already in 2015 and now it's already at least Fifth time in this hotel. The hotel is less than 5 years old and therefore it is still in good condition and the rooms are neat. Everything has always been good, but at this time, the housekeeper must be someone new and inexperienced. So much forgetfulness and flaws have occurred during the day. Originally, bathrobes, slippers, towels were only for one person, then there were other things missing. For example, toilet paper is not included despite the request. The quality of the service is still not even steady. A customer understands the hotel about these small things.

One of my favorite places here in Iloilo is the Esplanade along the river. It's a nice greenhouse and there are lots of fitness people there. It is an ideal place for outdoor activities.
